Hey! So I know I haven’t posted in a LONG time. I have many a drafts in my… drafts, I have parts ready but over the course of the last couple of months, all of my family but I had been in the hospital for various reasons and I’ve been so distracted. So I’ve come on here to let you know that I am going on hiatus. I’ve got a lot on my plate and writing has just been on the back burner. I’m really really sorry and thank you to those who have stuck around, I appreciate you to no end 💜
Me, when writing: I love the golden shine of your eyes when the sunlight hits it just right, the way your smile lights up my soul and in turn, makes me smile. I love when you chuckle at the stupid things I often do. When we’re holding hands and you rub my thumb, how you kiss the back of my hand and your grip gets a little tighter as though you never wanna let go. I love when we’re walking and you rub my back for those few fleeting seconds or how you pull me closer if I drift off when we’re walking. I love you, and everything you are. You are my soulmate that I never once thought I’d find in this lifetime.
So they could bring Allison Argent back from the dead after her body was in the ground and decomposing, but couldn’t pay Arden Cho at LEAST equal to what her white co-stars were being paid🤨
I genuinely mean this, I hope all 6 of those Supreme Court member who voted Yes have to live their lives getting harassed and are extremely bothered till their last dying breath.
Bother them, make their lives miserable, make them not want to leave their homes.
The dismantling of Roe v Wade will go down in history as one of the most damning indictments of american politics and a public health decision, no matter how short or long lived, that will shape the pain and suffering of generations to come.
Abortion wasn’t legal in most of the world for the majority of modern history I think we’ll be fine.
A lot of women died in childbirth for the majority of modern history
Abortion wasn’t even a legal QUESTION until Horatio Storer pretended to be the head of the AMA, convincing the world that women were too stupid to know their own bodies, and kicking off modern eugenics.
The actual reason behind banning abortion was because the “right kinds of women” (upper middle class, protestant, WHITE), were controlling how many babies they were having, thus paving the way for what men like Horatio feared would be a black and browning of America. And if THAT doesn’t sound familiar, I don’t know what else to say.
Here’s a Crappy Link to an incredible podcast that will make you feel a little sick about where anti abortion legislation came from.
But know that for most of modern history, abortion wasn’t a crime, even under most churches, until “quickening” or when the mother could feel movement.
not to be an old cranky leftist but going forward i think those of us who live in the us need to remember a protest is not a group powerwalk to register polite disapproval with those in power
a protest is an implied threat. a protest says there are a lot of us, and we do not like what you’re doing. we are giving you a chance to course correct before we take things to the next level.
if there’s no shared commitment to the potential of moving to that next level: a protest is useless and essentially just public performance art.
